Socotex lays the foundation stone for its new factory in Honfleur

 

Honfleur, 28 January 2025 - Socotex, a specialist in solar protection and technical textile solutions, is pleased to announce the laying of the foundation stone for its new factory at 845 Avenue des Impressionnistes in Honfleur. This symbolic event marks a major milestone in the company's history and its commitment to sustainable and responsible development.

 

The ceremony will be attended by

Michel Lamarre, Mayor of Honfleur, who will emphasise the importance of this project for local economic development;

Sophie Gaugain, Vice-President of the Normandy Region, who will highlight the regional support for this ambitious initiative.

A project for the future

The new Socotex plant is designed to meet the highest environmental standards. Incorporating innovative solutions, it aims to reduce the company's carbon footprint, optimise energy consumption and promote sustainable production.

This project reflects Socotex's desire to combine economic performance with environmental responsibility.

 

In addition, this new infrastructure will enable Socotex to develop its business beyond the textile industry, with a particular focus on sun protection solutions such as pergolas, awnings, shade sails, parasols, as well as technical tarpaulins such as those for lorries. The site has been designed for easy access by heavy goods vehicles, boosting logistical efficiency and production capacity.

 

A positive local impact

Established in Honfleur since 1972, Socotex is reaffirming its local roots with this new infrastructure. It will create new job opportunities while enhancing the economic attractiveness of the region.

 

The ceremony will take place on 28 January 2025 at 845 Avenue des Impressionnistes in Honfleur from 12:00 to 14:30 (speeches followed by a cocktail reception).

 

This event will mark the start of a new era for Socotex and its commitment to actively contribute to the ecological transition while consolidating its role as leader in the field of solar protection and technical textiles in France.
